Website design + development

Cinema Libertad exists to liberate film and television from the grip of corporate, Eurocentric narratives by uplifting culturally rooted stories told through powerful, captivating visuals.

In 2022, we helped transform their bare-bones website into a bold, intentional digital space designed to let their films shine. Every detail—from layout to typography—was crafted to reflect their mission: storytelling as resistance, reclamation, and deep cultural pride.

Inspired by protest posters and decolonial aesthetics, we used rough, expressive fonts, layered collages, and earthy yet vibrant tones to break the visual mold. Motion played a central role, with embedded video loops and custom hover effects drawing viewers deeper into each story. The result is a site that doesn’t just display Cinema Libertad’s work—it extends their vision, offering an immersive experience that honors the narratives at its core.
